Japanese has three characters: hiragana, katakana, and
kanji. Hiragana and katakana has 46 alphabets/each. That’s easy to remember,
isn’t it?
How about kanji?
It’s said that Japanese kanji has over 50,000! Can you believe
that?!
Japanese people learn about 2000 of kanji in a compulsory
education. But people who go to high school and college learn more.
It’s said remembering kanji is the hardest thing to learn
Japanese for people who don’t grow up in Japan. Do you know any of kanji?
