As you know in Japan, we have Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi....so many world famous cars were born and we are proud of that. When you have a car you also need a parking space.

Busy cities like Tokyo or Osaka, you may see many interesting parking systems such as “Tower Parking”. In this small island, in the busy cities, Japanese always try to save the limited spaces. You may think rooms of the hotels are bit small but we have lots of space saving methods in all over the places.

If you have a chance to take a look at tower parking, you will be surprised how it works and how quicker your car comes back to you. It is interesting to watch it!

Try fresh whitebait bowl in fantastic Enoshima!

Do you like eating raw fish, like sushi, sashimi? Or you have never tried before but you want to try some while you are in Japan? You will meet great fresh raw fish all over in Japan and you have to try them if you are a big fun of raw fish!!!

There are many places you can enjoy fish as I mentioned above,yet how about some fresh baby sardine, the whitebait bowl in Enoshima?

Enoshima is one of the famous dating spots near Tokyo and it takes about an hour from Tokyo station by trains.

Surrounded by ocean, this Enoshima island is unique and lots to see & lots to eat!The most famous about this Enoshima is they have a really fresh raw baby sardine and you cannot enjoy them even in Tokyo. The whitebait should be eaten as soon as they are caught if you want raw and this is the place you can enjoy them!

You also see them boiled or mixed with raw & boiled together and they are amazingly delicious!

Discover the contemporary art island, Naoshima and Yayoi Kusama

Would you like to discover a fun contemporary art in Japan? There are islands which are designed as art or museum islands in Seto Island Sea in Kagawa. The most famous and well known island is called Naoshima and you can take ferry to there from Takamatsu.

Naoshima is a tiny island town having about 3500 populations and inspired by the James Bond novel of “The Man with the Red Tatto” There are many museums ,outdoor sculptures and houses of art all over in the island. You can rent a bicycle or take a bus to trip all over the island.

The most famous sculptures are red and yellow pumpkins by Yayoi Kusama. Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese pop art artists born in Nagono, Japan. You may see her art work or project in museum in New York or maybe some of her work for Luis Vitton or Marc Jacob recently.

Praying for a partner at Yaegaki Shrine!

You may come across many temples and shrines when you travel in Japan. You may see people are praying for their family’s health, future, job and good marriage and so on.

There are many shrines or temples are for finding a good partner. When you travel west of Japan, you must visit Izumo Taisha and Yaegaki Shrine in Shimane.

Izumo Taisha is one of the most important and ancient shinto shrine in Japan. You probably see this in your guide book and Yaegaki Shrine which is located closed to this famous Izumo Taisha is the shrine dedicated to  marriage and matchmaking.

Many young people who is looking for a good partner and couples who are looking forward to their happy future come to this Yaegaki shrine and pray for it. The interesting thing here is they have a “mirror pond” where you can buy a paper and make it float, put your coin on that paper, let it sink and see the message on the paper. It is fun to do it but these message from shinto god is in Japanese, though.

In Japan where many natural disasters have happened, we have lots of products which are very useful in case of emergency.
