In Japan winter and early spring are the season for
strawberries (called “ichigo” in Japanese). Of course we see strawberries in
other seasons, but strawberries in winter and early spring are totally
different. They are YUM! They are not only yummy but are also looking beautiful
and are inexpensive.
In the season many strawberry farmers open their farms for a
strawberry picking. People need to pay some money to do it, but usually they
can get more strawberries than then imagine! And guess what - those
strawberries are fresh as they were just picked!
My family goes to a strawberry farm for a strawberry picking
almost every year, and kids really like it.
