Chubu Centrair International Airport is located on artificial island in Ise Bay, Aichi. This airport is classified as a first class airport and is the main international gateway for the Chubu which means Central region of Japan.

The name “Centrair” is a mixed with Central and Airport and opened in 2005 taking over the former Nagoya Airport’s commercial flights.
