It is required to prepare a resume when you look for a job
all over the world.
But, do you know that Japanese resumes may differ from resumes
of your nations?
You can purchase a blank resume at any bookstores or
stationary shops.
When creating a Japanese resume, most companies prefer
resumes to be handwritten.
It takes a lot of time to write a resume in handwriting
every time when you apply for a job, but a number of companies still stick to
handwritten resumes. Some say that
handwritten resumes express sincerity or enthusiasm more
than typed ones.
Also, putting a photo on your resume is essential in Japan.
You must dress professionally on the photo. If you look more
professional in the photo, you get more opportunities to be called for an
interview!
Wow that's very interesting to hear that Japanese companies prefer handwritten resume. As far as I know almost everywhere else electronic or typed resume is preferred, I guess that's because here handwritten imply lazy or incompetence with computer.
