As one of snacks there is hoshiimo in
Japan. How it’s made is that cooked and sliced yams are dried under the sun. It
takes couple days. But that’s all – simple, isn’t it?
By drying sliced yams, the sweetness
increases. There is a lot of fiber and no sugar contains in hoshiimo, so it’s a
very healthy food. Hoshiimo has a chewy texture which is good to make a jaw
stronger. Some people eat without anything, and some people like to toast
hoshiimo.
Many parents give hoshiimo to children as a
snack as it’s much healthier than chips, chocolate, and so on.
