A bicycle rule in Japan-Save children

Most of Japanese have an experience of biking bicycle when they are kids.
A bicycle is seemed as a vehicle for kids in abroad but not in Japan.
Many people ride a bicycle for commuting, pick-up and drop-off and shopping.

After 3.11, the number of rider increased and as the number increase, bicycle-related accidents appear to be growing.

What we are shocked is the accidents involving a parent with kid behind.
To reduce toll of such accidents, it is mandatory for a bicycle to have special seat for kids and helmet on kids.
