Chan, Kun, San, Sama, Dono…too many titles in Japanese

There are many titles in Japanese which is a little bit complicated because it depends on not only sexuality and age but also situation and occasion.

For little girls or friends who is girl, we use “Chan”and “Kun” is used for boys. San is for anybody at any place such as office or hospital, schools. Sama is used for customer or elders and betters. “Dono” is used as almost same meaning with Sama but recently Dono is getting unpopular in business scene or usual life. It is a bit confusing because “Kun” is used for woman at office.
