Ramen is a noodle soup dish that was originally imported from China and has become one of the most popular dishes in Japan in recent decades.

Ramen are typically categorized according to their soup base; salt ramen, pork bone ramen, soy source ramen, miso ramen.

Some Japanese cities have their own local ramen. It would be fun to visit Japanese local cities to find your favorite ramen. Some of those cities are Sapporo, Tokyo, Hakata, Kitakata, Yokohama and so on. They have different soup, noodles and toppings.
