“Kendama” – Traditional Japanese toy

Have you ever tried playing “Kendama”? It is a traditional Japanese toy from long time ago which consists of a ken (sword) and tama (ball) connected by a string.
It has three cups and a spike and you play by catching the ball with those cups and spike. It seems simple and easy but actually it’s quite difficult!!

There are many kinds of tricks which can be performed by juggling the ball between the cups and many contests of these Kendama tricks are held in Japan.
It is very popular not only in Japan but also in foreign countries of any ages.
