“Kakizome” is known as a calligraphy done in January 2nd.
It’s calligraphy, but doing this in that day means a lot.
Normally people write a word of his/her aspiration or
preparation of the year. It’s been said that the important thing need to be
started soon, even from a day after the New Year day. (But actually some people
don’t concern what to write and just write any word as the first calligraphy of
the year).
Modern people don’t concern with doing kakizome in January 2nd,
though people still write their word of the year in the beginning of the year.
