Moe is a word used to indicate that something is beautiful. It is associated with the otaku world and this word is said when an attractive girl is seen. This can be used with real people, but in the most cases,  a figure/ image of a character is liked or found to be attractive.

Recently, this concept has been generalized and is used to indicate any kind of hobby. Its meaning still is the same and used to express whether you like something a lot. Translated into English, it represents something that is both beautiful and brilliant or fascinating. The best is not to translate ‘moe’ at all and just use the term ‘moe’.
